state of Georgia. With the Internal Revenue Service, we have Public Charity
Status according to section 509(a)(2), tax exempt as a 501(c)(3).

- Keisha Hoerrner, Ph.D. — Professor of communication and Director of the
Communities for Learning Success (CLASS) program at Kennesaw State University.
Dr. Hoerrner holds a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from the University of Georgia and has
taught at the university level for over a decade. As a researcher,
she has used her experience and education as a consultant and expert witness
on the effects of media on society.
- Mark Hoerrner — Freelance
journalist who serves as the Georgia director of Not for Sale,
empowering individuals to fight modern day human trafficking and slavery.
- Cheryl Miller— Freelance Writer and
student advocate for the MA in American Studies program at Kennesaw State
University.
- Steve Miller — President, Legacy
Educational Resources, Inc.
- Phillip D. Page, Ed.D. — Principal, Garrett Middle School; High School Character Education Coordinator,
Cobb County School System.
- Dr. Ken Walker — Psychologist with
the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice and Director of Dalton Counseling

Writers
Articles
Our articles were written by a variety of
leaders and practitioners of character education, both inside and outside of
our organization.
Lessons
Our lessons are often written in
collaboration with teachers or administrators, who request lessons on a
particular character trait. Steve and Cheryl Miller research the lessons and
put them into their final form.
Cheryl K. Miller — Cherie
holds a MA in Professional Writing from Kennesaw State University (2007).
She is also a freelance writer who has published three books and written
hundreds of articles and newspaper columns. She also writes a blog on being
a pet mommy called www.pet-peeves.org. Cherie is the President of the
Georgia Writers Association, a state-wide organization that promotes
authorship and literacy. Cherie works as a student advocate at Kennesaw
State in the MA of American Studies Program.
Steve Miller — BA, M.Div. Steve has
written several books, curriculum, numerous articles, and an extensive illustration
database for speakers. He served as a character
education
mentor at the award-winning Kennesaw Mountain High School. He has presented
at conferences from Atlanta to Moscow. Steve's books for writers and
teachers include:

Legacy Educational Resources, Inc. collects only the information
essential to process donations, including: amount donated, address,
telephone number, donor comments and e-mail addresses.
How We Use
the Information
Legacy will never publish, sell, trade, rent or share donor information.
It will be used to:

- Thank donors for their donation
- Inform donors about upcoming fundraising and
other activities
